Notas
:
This species is rather robust, with well developed peduncles and capsules (for Chimarrhis). Chimarrhis cymosa is similar to Chimarrhis turbinata, which has persistent stipules, and Chimarrhis latifolia of Central America. Chimarrhis cymosa was circumscribed by many previous authors more broadly than here, to include all the Chimarrhis plants of the Antilles along with some plants from northeastern South America; however Chimarrhis cubensis, Chimarrhis jamaicensis, Chimarrhis microcarpa, and Chimarrhis speciosa are separated from Chimarrhis cymosa by Delprete (1999) and here.
