Notas : This species has a relatively broad geographic distribution, and is one of the most commonly collected Ladenbergias. It can be recognized by its robust generally broad leaves, rather large inflorescences with numerous flowers, short calyx limbs and medium-sized corollas, and relatively long slender cylindrical fruits. It is grouped by local people with Cinchona and considered to have similar useful properties, as cascarilla blanca; however other Rubiaceae are also called cascarilla blanca.
Distribución : In wet forests at 150-2340 m, Venezuela to Brazil (Roraima) and Bolivia, and common in wet woody secondary vegetation.
