Notas
:
This species is characterized by its erect stems, leaves with rather broad flattened blades (for Arcytophyllum) that are markedly mucronate at the apex, stipules with several glabrous fimbriae or linear lobes, and the flowers several in a subcapitate group. Arcytophyllum capitatum is similar to to Arcytophyllum setosum, which has setose or pubescent stipule fimbriae and leaves that are not mucronate at the apex.
