Notas
:
This species has not been well documented, in particular its flowers are poorly known. Cinchona capuli can be recognized by its medium-sized leaves, its medium-sized capsules borne on well developed flexuous pedicels, its calyx limb that with short broadly angled lobes, and the black drying color of its specimens. It is similar to C. pyrifolia of Peru, which can be separated by its smaller seeds, usually smaller flowers, and a brown or yellowish brown drying color in the specimens.
