Plants small, to 10 mm high, green or brownish, in tufts. Stems loosely foliate, with as few as 10–20 leaves, radiculose at base. Leaves oblong-ovate; costae percurrent; leaf cells oblong-hexagonal to rhomboidal. Synoicous. Setae 8–10 mm long; capsules ca. 4 mm long; annuli well developed; peristome teeth short. Spores not seen.
