Apparently Bryum perlimbatum is rather a small version of B. andicola (= B. billiardieri of Ochi), distinguished by the revolute margins from the base to midleaf, subentire, and leaf margin bordered by 7-10 or more rows of linear cells (cf. Ochi 1982).
