37. Bryum rutilans Brid.   橙色真藓   chen se zhen xian

Plants medium-sized to rather large, 20–30 mm high, brownish green, in dense tufts. Stems erect, branched at base. Leaves distant, erect, not twisted, broadly ovate, acute, 1.0–1.5 mm × 0.5–0.8 mm; margins entire, bordered by 1–3 rows of narrowed cells; costae ending below the apex or percurrent, reddish brown; upper and median leaf cells hexagonal or rounded-hexagonal, 24–58 µm × 18–32 µm, thin-walled; basal cells larger, rectangular. Dioicous. Setae straight below, curved above, reddish brown, ca. 15–20 mm long; capsules inclined, oblong-pyriform, ca. 2–3 mm long; neck as long as urn; opercula conic; peristome double; exostome teeth lanceolate, yellowish brown below, hyaline above, clearly bordered, densely papillose; endostome segments keeled, perforate; basal membrane high; cilia short, 2–3, nodose. Spores yellowish brown, 17–24 µm in diameter, minutely papillose.
