Notes:

Ecology: Low montane forest; substrate unknown, possibly epiphytic or on logs and rocks. Elevation: 1150-2000 m. Distribution: Central America and Venezuela.
 
Fissidens plurisetus is distinguished by the oblong-lanceolate to lanceolate leaves to 2.5 mm, acute apex, entire to irregularly serrulate margins, bordered throughout, often spurred below, 3-4 stratose, percurrent to short excurrent costa, vaginant laminae ca. 1/2 the leaf length, obscure, firm-walled, pluripapillose laminal cells, 1-6 sporophytes per perichaetium.
