Plants small, to 15 mm high, green or brownish green, in dense tufts. Stems erect, simple or branched. Leaves ca. 1.4 mm long, spatulate, narrowed at the bases, shortly apiculate at the apex; margins plane, entire; costa slender, percurrent or ending just below the apex; upper leaf cells small, quadrate to hexagonal, thin-walled; basal cells shortly rectangular, more or less hyaline. Setae straight, yellowish; capsules small, erect, ovoid-cylindrical, reddish brown; opercula conic-rostrate, with erect long-beak.
