  • HT: Humboldt & Bonpland 3858; no date; Mexico: Guerrero: Acapulco [Pruski (Phytoneuron 2018–53: 76. 2018) noted Schiede 243 was used by Schlechtendal & Chamisso (Linnaea 5: 121. 1830) for Crescentia alata (Bignoniaceae) and by Schlechtendal (Linnaea 9: 591. 1835) for the Mexican Compositae Zemisia thomasii (Klatt) Pruski (as Senecio scytophyllus Kunth, a South American plant). It is not immediately clear which usage of the number 243 is in reference to a taxon number and which is to the collection number, but that Schiede 243 is NOT the type of Crescentia alata Kunth].
