Certain of the taxon recognised by Perrier de la Bâthie in Fl. Madagasc. clearly represent distinct species, for example Campylospermum anceps var. perrieri. The genus is urgently in need of complete revision. Taxa from Madagascar that were formerly placed in Ouratea are probably all best treated in Campylospermum.
