Description
|
Trees. Leaves imparipinnate; leaflets several, alternate, penni-nerved; stipules minute, soon deciduous. Panicles terminal, multi-flowered; bracts persisting; brac- teoles often much larger than the bracts. Flowers with the hypanthium campanulate, somewhat gibbous and bilabiate, obtuse at the base; vexillum distinctly clawed; carinal petals coherent; stamens 10, monadelphous, the anthers versatile; glandular disk present; ovary scarcely stipitate, the stigma capitate, the ovules several. Fruits sessile, the seminiferous area basal, turgid, the seeds several.
