Annotation: The original Sert. Angl. (impressed wtih 1788) has the first 36 pages as text only. Plates were published later in 1792 and bound in later as subsequent pages. MO's copy of Sert. Angl. is a post -1800 (cf. TL2, 4492) reprint (also impressed with 1788 on title page) and has text pages 1-20 intermixed with plates 1-34, etc. The genus is established by Eucalyptus obliqua L'Hér. on text page 11, impressed with the numeral 11, in the MO reprint (the only copy digitized on BHL). This differs with online copy at REAL, which appears original to the 1788 [Jan. 1789] issue of text pages, because the first 36 pages as text only, with the plates bound in subsequently. The genus is established on text page 18, impressed with the numeral 18, in the REAL copy. Plate 20 of the generitype E. obliqua L'Hér was published later (Apr. 1792) and is thus not part of the 1788 (jan 1789) text protologue. VCH Oct. 2012
