• LT: Exostema parviflorum Bonpl. --- This lectotypification was made based on the assumption that Bonpland created this genus, but Bonpland stated (p. 135) that this group was previously named as Cinchona subg. Exostema by Persoon and he was raising it to genus rank: thus, the type of Exostema is the type of this subgenus, Cinchona caribaeum
