Annual or perennial. Leaves simple or compound; entire or trilobed to 1-2-(3)-pinnate. Umbels compound, terminal and lateral. Bracts and bractlets present or lacking. Calyx teeth evident or obsolete. Petals white, sometimes yellow or rose coloured. Fruit laterally compressed, ovate, ovoid or oblong, narrowed at the apex, glabrous or pubescent; fruit ridges thin or obscure; furrows 2-4-vittate; commissure 2-4-vittate. Inner seed face plane or slightly concave.
