Notes : The single sp. was treated in Fl. Madagasc. under the widespread southern African L. acutifolium E.Mey. ex Dunal, which was assumed to have been introduced and become naturalized. Venter and Scott provide justification for regarding it as a distinct sp. present in Madagascar, the Mascarenes and only locally in southern Africa.
