Plantas epífitas, cespitosas; seudobulbos ovoides, 4-angulados. Hojas débilmente plegadas, coriáceas. Inflorescencia racemosa lateral; labelo 3-lobado, el callo angosto o lunular, con muchas quillas; columna robusta, alada, con capucha sobre la antera; antera operculada; polinios 4, con estípite y viscidio. Aprox. 5 spp. en Mesoamérica y norte de Sudamérica; 1 sp. en Mesoamérica.
