Notes:
Genipa is a neotropical genus of trees with few-flowered terminal cymes of rather large fleshy flowers and rather large, fleshy, berry-like fruits. This name was inaccurately used for a while for some generally similar plants from Madagascar; the Madagascar plants are nowadays classified variously in Gardenia and Hyperacanthus.
