Anotación: As to gender of the name: genus names ending in -ax may be masculine or feminine, so if oriignal author does not assign a gender then ICN Art. 62.3 speicified that the first subsequent author to indicate a gender must be followed. Gaertner did not indicate a gender, because the epithet of his Psydrax dicoccos is a noun in apposition, which has no gender. The first two species names published in Psydrax with a definitive gender assignment are P. angustifolia A. Rich. and P. media A. Rich., eslabiishing the genus name as feminine. - C.M. Taylor & R.E.
