Notes : Treated as a synonym of Clerodendrum in Fl. Madagasc., the genus has recently been resurrected by Yuan et al., we accept this delimitation, and critical revision of the relevant spp. is in progress. Volkameria heterophylla has been recorded from Madagascar, but it is likely that the material was cultivated - its presence as a native or naturalized spp requires confirmation.
