Description
|
Shrubs or small trees. Leaves opposite, petiolate. Inflorescences axillary, fasciculate. Flowers bisexual; calyx 5-lobed, lobes rotund; petals 5; stamens 5; disc fleshy, annular, slightly 5-lobed; ovary semi-inferior, adnate to the disc, 2- loculed, each 2-ovuled, the style short, conic, the stigma obscure, 2-lobed. Fruit a samara.
