• LT: Notholaena trichomanoides (L.) Desv. Lectotype first designated by John Smith Hist. Filic. (1875),, later by Underwood, Mem. Torrey Bot. Club 6: 247-283 (1899), and lastly by by Christensen, Ind. Fil. xli (1906). Some authors have argued that the only valid lectotypification is that of Christensen, based on Pteris marantae.
