Notes :

J. sambac was considered by Perrier to be naturalized in Madagascar. Only two collections from Madagascar are deposited at P and these date from 1930 or before. There are no collections in the Malagasy national herbaria (TAN, TEF). For this reason, it is believed to not be naturalized in Madagascar.

A full revision of the Malagasy and Comorean spp. of Jasminum is currently in advanced stages of preparation by Frasier, Phillipson and Schatz.
