General/Distribution: 5 species indigenous in the Himalaya Mts. from Kashmir eastwards to Sikkim-Bhutan and China (Western Szechuon). One species is found in Pakistan.

Terrestrial plants with corms of several internodes. Leaves from apex of corm, 1 or 2(-3), petiolate, narrow and long. Stem with few close-fitting sheaths. Inflorescence lateral from the corm, with many, rather small, ± nodding flowers. Sepals and petals subequal, labellum adnate to the base of column by a short claw, saccate or not saccate at base, 3-lobed, with mid-lobe truncate or ± bibbed. Column elongate, slightly curved; anther terminal, one-celled; pollinia 4, superposed, globose, fixed to a short stipe; stigma entire. Ovary sessile or stalked.
