Type-Protologue

Note: Two species were originallly included by Karsten; Steyermark, Brittonia 27(3): 252, 1975, accepted both and explicitly cited Joosia umbellifera H. Karst. as the type of the genus. Subsequently Andersson, Brittonia 49: 30, 1997 cited J. umbellifera as the lectotype of the genus.
