Notes:
Two accepted species of Kohautia have been reported from Madagascar, K. longifolia and K. virgata, but Groeninckx et al. (2010) separated Kohautia into two genera based on morphological and molecular characters, and all of the species reported from Madagascar now belong to their new genus Cordylostigma. Thus Kohautia as currently circumscribed is no longer documented from Madagascar.
