Annual or biennial, 10-30 cm tall, branched, with glabrous stem and leaves. Lower leaves oblong-elliptic, shortly stalked or subsessile, 3-8 (-12) cm long, 0.5-1.5 (-2.5) cm broad, sinuate-dentate to subentire; upper leaves linear-lanceolate, 10-50 (-70) mm long, 2-20 mm broad, sessile, auricled at base, amplexicaul. Racemes 20-40-flowered, ebracteate, up to 15 cm long in fruit (often entire plant fruiting with branched infructescence nearly from the base). Flowers c. 2 mm across, yellow; pedicel 5-8 mm long in fruit, filiform, deflexed, often densely ciliate with soft white, simple hairs. Sepals 1.5-2 mm long, c.1 mm broad. Petals c. 2.5 mm long, 1 mm broad, oblong-obovate, cuneate. Stamens c. 1.5:2 mm long; anthers c. 0.3 mm. Siliculae oblinear or oblong-linear, narrowed towards the base, broadest at the apex, 8-12 mm long, 2-3 mm broad, densely hairy with short, simple soft hairs, often slightly curved towards the apex; apices somewhat sub-bilobed rounded; seed c. 3 mm long, 1 mm broad, oblong-ellipsoid, dark-brown.
