Annual, 20-50 cm tall, erect, branched, with branches and leaves thin and narrow as compared to the above species, ± hairy with simple, somewhat rough hairs; hairs whitish, ciliate, often spreading or slightly deflexed. Basal leaves often deeply pinnatifid, 3-4-lobed, stalked, 3-10 cm long, 0.5-2 cm borad; upper leaves narrowly elliptic or linear, 1-6 cm long, (0.3-) 0.5-1 cm broad, subsessile or sessile, sparsely toothed to entire. Spikes 15-30-flowered, lax, up to 25 cm long in fruit. Flowers c. 2.5 mm across, white, sub-sessile; pedicel up to c. 1 mm long, ascending or subappressed in fruit. Sepals 2-2.5 mm long. Petals 3.5-4 mm long, 1 mm broad. Stamens c. 2.5:3 mm long. Siliculae orbicular, c. 3 mm in diam., (excl. c. 2.5 mm long, deiduous narrowly cylindrical beak), glabrous, obscurely wrinkled in the middle of the valves, with a ± distinct mid-vein; septum c. 2 mm in diam. sub-membranous, yellowish; seed 1 in each locule, c. 1.2 mm in diam., orbicular, flat¬tered.
