Notas
:
This subgenus includes several species, and is characterized by its white salverform corollas with generally six or more lobes. It is found throughout the range of the genus, except for Mexico and Central America, and to some extent its distribution is complementary to that of Hillia subg. Tetrandrae. Its flowers apparently are nocturnal and pollinated by hawkmoths. See the discussisn and key on the genus page for more information.
