Notas : Remijia uniflora is characterized by its subsessile, solitary or perhaps 2-3 flowers, glabrescent stems and leaves, and distinctive leaves, which are leathery with the secondary and higher order venation hardly evident. This venation is finely reticulated, with the secondary veins not or only slightly larger than the higher order venation, and the reticulation is thickened on the upper surface. This species is so far known only from the type collection. Remijia reducta is the only other species known with subsessile, 1-3-flowered inflorescences; this species has dense hirsute pubescence and smaller leaves with the vein reticulum impressed on the upper surface and the secondary veins differentiated from the higher order venation and prominent on the lower surface.
Distribución : Humid vegetation at 600-700 m in the Guayana Highlands; known only from granitic lajas in the Cuao-Sipapo Massif in southern Venezuela (Amazonas).
