Annotation: According to IPNI (accessed: 31 Dec 2020) "Protologue lacks an authorship citation; description: Welfia regia, is extremely pretty in its young state. It has smooth slender leaf-stalks and bilobed leaves, which, when young, are of a pleasing bronzy chocolate colour." However, evidently a young, cultivated plant is minimally described. IPNI ascribes the authorship to T. Moore & Mast., the editors of the newspaper.?? [G. Davidse, 31 Dec 2020]. Kanchi Gandhi notes: "When NO authorship is mentioned or indicated in the protologue, then we simply use the relevant editor(s) as the author. The editor for Gardeners' Chronicle: for 1865-1887: Thomas Moore & Maxwell Tylden Masters (see J. Bot. 45: 257-258. 1907) “His [M.T. Masters’s] chief literary work, however, was of course connected with the Gardeners' Chronicle, of which he became part editor with Thomas Moore in 1865 …” https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/item/109872#page/294/mode/1up" email,, 5 Jam 2021
