Similar to Euphorbia clarkeana, but plant often sparsely to densely hispid, with the leaf-blades up to 2.3 x 1 cm (though usually less), generally sharply serrate, cyathia more obviously solitary, larger (up to 1.5 mm diam. at the top) and with prominent white petaloid gland-appendages, and quadrangular transversely tuberculate-rugulose seeds.
