Notes:
This species has a somewhat robust glabrescent habit, medium-sized oblanceolate to obovate leaves, and lax racemiform or cymose inflorescences borne with and below the leaves. The inflorescences comprise a peduncle with an umbelliform to racemose group of 3-8 flowers that have pedicels of generally equal length. This species is not well documented as yet, at least outside Venezuela. Hoffmannia larensis is similar to Hoffmannia nicotianifolia from Mexico and Central America, and Hoffmannia aroensis of Venezuela.
