Notes: This species is characterized by its rather slender habit, triangular stipules with a ligulate appendage that has glands at its tip on each interpetiolar side, and pedunculate laxly cymose inflorescences with small flowers. It is similar in general aspect but not stipule form to Rudgea trujilloi, and in stipule form but not inflorescence arrangement and flower size to Rudgea hospes.
Distribution: Wet forest at 1200-1400 m in the Cordillera de la Costa in northern Venezuela (Yaracuay).
