Datos del Proyecto     (Last Modified On 9/17/2016)
Notas : This species is similar to Chimarrhis parviflora and Chimarrhis hookeri. Previous authors circumscribed Chimarrhis cymosa more broadly than Delprete (1999) did, to include this and several other species. Delprete convincingly circumscribed Chimarrhis cymosa to include only plants from the Lesser Antilles, but this species is periodically reported from continental South America based on those older taxonomies. Delprete also separated Chimarrhis microcarpa and Chimarrhis speciosa, which differ markedly in habitat, though he noted these are similar and some of their characters may intergrade.
Distribución : Wet premontane forest at 1000-1500 m in northern South America, in the Cordillera de la Costa of northern Venezuela.
