Evergreen, aromatic shrubs, up to 40 cm tall; branches rough and scaly. Leaves elliptic-oblong, 1-3 cm long, dorsal surface rough, wrinkled, ventral densely covered with brown scales; petiole 3-5 mm long. Flowers in terminal clusters of 5-15; bracts ovate, margin ciliate. Calyx lobes 3-4 mm, ovate, obtuse, margin ciliate. Corolla yellow, 1.2-1.5 cm long, tube cylindrical, lobes orbicular, out-spreading. Capsule + ovoid, 4-6 mm long.
