Notas :

This species is characterized by relatively robust narrow leaves, stipules with the basal portion well developed and and longer than the short lobes, and calyx lobes 6--13 mm long. The flowers are so far unknown. Amphidasya brevidentata is known only from one collection on the Cerro del Torrá, and isolated mountain group orf the Andes in western Colombia, which has a number of endemic or localized Rubiaceae species. Some of the others have been found also in the nearby Serranía de Paraguas, and Amphidasya brevidentata perhaps may be explected there too.

Distribución : Wet forest a ca. 1700 m in the Cordillera Occidental of western Colombia.
