Notas : This species is characterized by well developed, obovate to elliptic, petiolate leaves, medium-sized multi-laciniate stipules, narrowly triangular calyx lobes 9-12 mm long, and corollas with the tube 25-30 mm long and lobes 3-4 mm long that are elaborately ornamented adaxially with stout protuberances. The corolla buds are distinctive in their clavate form with the apex rounded to truncate. The calyx lobes characteristically become falcate at least at the tip in fruit.
Distribución : Wet forest at 900-2200 m in the Andes, sporadically from northwestern Colombia to central Peru.
