Type: Lectotype: ‘Scinde, Jemidar Ka Landa, near Kurrachee, 1851, J. E. Stocks 441 (K).

Baker (l.c.) has cited two specimens along with the original description, Stocks 441 and Dalzell 59. Stocks 441 is selected as the Lectotype.

Distribution: Distribution: Endemic to Pakistan (Sindh and Baluchistan).
Comment/Acknowledgements: A fodder for camels and goats; eaten by bustards also (Burkill, I. H., Working List Flow. Pl. Baluchistan: 73. 1909).

Perennial, branched, straggling undershrub up to 60 cm tall, older branches woody, younger flexuous, branchlets striate, minutely scabrous. Leaves deltoid, ovate, cuspidate, with a spur about 1 mm long at the base, standing out from the branch.Cladodes in clusters of 3-8, 5-14 x c. 1.0 mm, linear, mucronate, canaliculate, scabrid. Flowers 2-4 in axillary clusters. Pedicels articulated below the middle, 3 mm upper portion, 1.5 mm lower portion. Perianth c. 3-4 mm long. Stamens c. 2.5 mm. Berry c. 4 mm in diameter, red.
