Paracephaelis cinerea (A. Rich.) De Block is deciduous, and has been collected in littoral forest on sandy substrates and on limestone substrates. The information catalogued here is based primarily on specimens collected and/or identified by P. De Block (BR). This species may also be found in the Comores (Mouly in herb.) but that distribution has not been formally documented yet in the context of a review of all the species of Paracephaelis. It can be found in dry deciduous or semi-deciduous forest or forest remnants, dry littoral forest, dry scrub, more rarely subhumid forest; on sandy soil (laterite or white sand) or on rocks; at 0–1650 m elevation. Phenology: Flowers:(November–) December–March; Fruits: February–September.
