Comment/Acknowledgements:
Although the type, and apparently only specimen, has not been seen, the description and drawing are sufficiently detailed to deduce that this is very dose to
Nepeta clarkei
. The ovoid head is rather anomalous for
Nepeta clarkei
, but the specimen may be a somewhat atypical form of this species;
Nepeta clarkei
is also known from the same general area of Baltistan as
Nepeta paucifolia
. Although Mukerjee related his new species to
Nepeta linearis
and
Nepeta connate
, it is clearly quite different from them.

Similar in fades, indumentum and floral dimensions to
Nepeta clarkei
, but leaves ± glabrous and inflorescence an ovoid terminal head.
