Annotation:
Although Miller (1768) applied Cactus lanuginosus differently than Linnaeaus, it should still be considered a valid combination since the basionym was not yet typified and thus explicit exclusion of the type was not possible (Art. 48.1 of ICN). Cereus lanuginosus of Miller (1768) referenced Hermann (1698: 114), which is also referenced by Boerhaave (1720: 293, no. 4), not the same references used by Linnaeus.
