Plant c. 20 cm tall, woody. Root thick, elongated. Stems numerous, dichotomously branched from the base, white. Stems glabrous to slightly hairy. Leaves 10-20 x 5-7 mm, oval to ovate, alternate, sessile, hirsute, hairs rigid, margin ± denticulate. Flowers clustered at the ends of branches. Calyx densely setulose, segments triangular to lanceolate, appendages smaller than the segments, obtuse. Corolla c. 1 cm long, pale violet to white, lobes about half the length of the tube. hirsute. Style exserted. Capsule nodding.
