LT designated by Prado, Taxon 42: 658, fig. 1 (1993) but this ineffective because of the earlier lectotypification by Jacobs (1965). Later proposed for conservation by Prado et al., 2013: 406 in order to negate the lectotypification by Jacobs but this became unnecessary after the total rejection of this name became official.
