Description
|
Plants stoloniferous, the culms 4-10 dm. high, about 5 mm. thick; spikelets 2-4 cm. long, 3-5 mm. thick, obtuse, the scales very obtuse, greenish; bristles slightly longer than the achene; style 3- or 2-cleft; achene rough, the body 2 mm. long, the tubercle conic, yellow, the transverse cells prominent; bristles 6, ex- ceeding the achene.

In wet soil. Florida and Texas, southward in the tropics.
