Annual herb, c. 10-25 cm tall, stem puberulent with white hairs. Leaf imparipinnately compound, c. 5-11 cm long; leaflets 15-21, c. 3-14 mm long, linear-oblong, retusely truncate, glabrous above, canescent with white appressed hairs below; stipules c. 3-4 mm long, pubescent, hairs white and black. Inflorescence an axillary, pedunculate raceme, peduncle longer or shorter than leaves, pubescent. Bracts c. 1 mm long, pubescent, hairs white and black. Pedicel c. 1 mm long. Calyx c. 3-4 mm long, white and black pubescent, teeth c. 1-1.5 mm long. Corolla pale violet. Vexillum c. 5-7 mm long. Wing c. 4-6 mm long. Keel c. 3.5-5 mm long. Fruit c. 14-20 mm long, c. 4-6 mm broad, carinate ventrally, concave dorsally, appressed puberulous, ridge spiny.
