Anotación: Morong intended to published this name as a combination, but his intended basionym is illegitimate so it cannot be a basionym and this must be considered a replacement name. A legitimate replacement name was previously published for Psychotria herbacea L., which is Geophila reniformis. Also, the name Geophila herbacea was previously published by Schumann for Psychotria herbacea, and it is illegitimate but valid, so it makes Morong's name superfluous and illegitimate. (Morong's name would be an invalid isonym if it were a combination rather than a replacement name.)
