Notes:
This species is characterized by stiff-textured leaves of variable size, 5(7)-merous flowers on developed pedicels, white corollas with the tube 38--44 mm long, and rather stoutly cylindrical capsules.
Distribution:
Humid Atlantic Forest vegetation, on both clay and quartz substrates, at 650-850 m in east-southeatern Brazil (Bahia, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais).
