Notes :

This species is characterized by its medium-sized, elliptic-oblong, subsessile to shortly petiolate leaves that are rounded to cordulate at the base, terminal paniculfiorm inflorescences, pedicellate flowers, short calyx limbs, and corollas with the lanceolate lobes shorter than the tubes.

Faramea umbellifera is similar to Faramea truncata, Faramea martiana, Faramea cardiophylla, Faramea platypoda, and some plants of Faramea stipulacea.

Distribution : Brazil, locality unknown.
