Plants solitary, c. 10-15 cm in height (basal leaf up to 27 cm). Bulb 6-9 mm in diameter, obliquely-dro p-shaped, tunic densely-coriaceous, breaking up, light brown, continued into a short (0.5-1.5 cm) fiber-l ike neck, without sclerified roots. In generative stages at the base of the bulb bulbils are not present. Basal leaf single, linear, almost twice as long as the inflorescence, 1.5-2 mm broad, in T.S. canaliculate, veins two. Peduncle 1-5 cm long, peduncle leaves alternate. Bulbils hang down from axils of lower 1-2 leaves. Lower leaf on the peduncle almost as long as the inflorescence, c. 2.5 mm broad, linear, elongating gradually. Inflorescence, 3-10(15)-flowered, on pedicles of varying length (1-6 cm). Tepals 14-17(21) mm long, 2-2.5 mm broad, tip rounded, greenish yellow inside, green outside. Anthers yellow, oblong, c. 2.5 mm long, dehiscence ovate-oblong, c. 1.5 mm long. Ovary sessile, oblong. Capsule sessile, twice as short as the tepals, elliptic.
